Carmen is a dynamic and energetic facilitator, capable of facilitating in French, English and Spanish. For the past 25 years Carmen has worked on diversity issues from a number of perspectives through her work as a facilitator and organizational developer. From 1995 - 1998, she was a member of the Equality Rights Panel that grants funding to test legal cases addressing human rights and equality issues in Canada for three years. Prior to that she worked for three years as an Ontario Human Rights Commissioner addressing human rights complaints and policies to promote equality in Ontario.
Carmen's training experience has included many types of training including one-on-one coaching, delivering standardized programs across Canada, developing and delivering customized programs for organizations. She has worked with a wide variety of audiences including public servants, senior managers, agency professionals, such as nurses and social workers, as well as volunteer organization board members. Since 2001, her work with Graybridge Malkam has included Diversity and Employment Equity training, Respectful Workplace consulting, facilitating workshops on Cross-Cultural Communication and delivering Diversity train-the-trainer sessions.
Carmen completed the Management of Organizational Change Program from the Université du Québec à Hull in 1998. She also holds an M.A. in Adult Education from the University of Ottawa. She has undergone training in International Development and has a number of training experiences in Africa and Latin America.
