Heather Mackinnon
Program Officer, International Development Division

Heather MacKinnon has 7 years of experience in international relations and development. Heather is on Graybridge Malkam's team of development consultants that specializes in project management and design for international development projects and initiatives. She also has experience managing training programs and coordinating input from multiple sources for training and reporting purposes.

Heather has lived in six countries and worked in Europe and Latin America in a variety of public and private institutions. She holds a Masters degree in International Affairs (Development stream) from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs in Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from McGill University in Montreal. In addition to her informal training in participatory development, monitoring and evaluation (PRA, PLA, PM&E) from Mosaic.Net International (2002), she is certified as an adult educator by Cambridge University (CELTA - Certificate in English Language Training for Adults). Heather possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. She can operate in English, French, German, and Spanish and is able to provide informal interpretation in these languages or arrange for certified translators.

Heather's areas of expertise include community development, capacity building and information and communications technology for development (ICTs4D).
