Bridging the Culture Gap
Will increase participants’ understanding of the differences between cultures and the significance of those differences. They will also:
  • Better understand the importance of building relationships.
  • Better understand the cultural complexities of business and social protocol.
  • Have an increased awareness of how cultural perspectives affect behaviour.
  • Acquire practical tips, tools and strategies that will assist in working with culturally diverse team members.
   
Communicating Across Cultures
Will enhance the communication skills of personnel interacting with colleagues and/or clients from different cultural backgrounds. Participants will:
  • Explore the concept of culture.
  • Examine different communication styles.
  • Build skills for more effective communication.
  • Learn how socialization factors have an impact on communication.
   
Doing Business Across Cultures
Will explore the art of doing business across cultures and build the global competence of individuals, organizations and teams. Participants will:
  • Learn the business protocol of host countries.
  • Learn about market-specific tips and taboos.
  • Develop strategies for negotiating across cultures.
  • Examine cultural variables that influence behaviour.
   
Intercultural Conflict Resolution
Will facilitate the resolution of workplace conflicts of a cultural nature and/or develop proactive strategies to avoid conflict and misunderstanding. Participants will:
  • Examine the role of gender and cultural differences.
  • Look at the psychological factors of intercultural conflict.
  • Increase their awareness of how cultural perspectives affect behaviour.
  • Develop strategies to resolve intercultural conflicts.
